Fuel System in NFPA 20 and UL FM Listed Engines

• The fuel tank suction point must be above the fuel pump level of the engine.
• In regions where the temperature level drops below zero, the fuel tank should be installed inside a room.
• The fuel tank should only be used for the fire pump.
• A fuel tank must be installed on each engine. The volume of the fuel tank should be 4 It + 10% reserves for every 1 HP engine power.
• Suction and return fuel hoses must be flame protected.
• Fuel pipes should not be galvanized or made of copper.
• The grade of the fuel should be written on the fuel tank in a color opposite to the color of the tank at a minimum height of 152 mm.
